Plain terms on what Vectis Works keeps about the business contacts it writes to, why it keeps it, and how to have the emails stopped.
Scope of this statement
Vectis Works is based at 100 Powell Place #1170, Nashville, TN 37204. We build data systems, custom software and shop-floor dashboards for manufacturing companies. What follows applies to two things: the site vectisworksgroup.com, and the business email Vectis Works sends. Wherever this statement says "we", "our" or "us", read Vectis Works.
Ending contact
To stop us, answer any message we have sent and say so. No particular words are needed. On a phone call, saying it to the caller counts the same. We act on it quickly, and in every case within 10 business days.
From then on, your email address and name stay on the do-not-contact list we keep. That is what keeps you from hearing from us again, even when another source hands us your details later.
Whom we write to
Our messages go to people at manufacturers whose jobs relate to what we do: leaders in operations, plants, engineering or IT, among others. Email to a work address is the usual route. Now and then it is a phone call, or a letter sent to the business address. We get in touch only where our work may matter to that company, and a request to stop ends it.
What our records can hold
- Work contact details: name, title, employer, business phone, work email and a link to a professional profile, where one exists.
- Facts about the company: its name, size, industry, website, location and business address.
- Business activity in public view: job postings, news items and posts the company has made public.
- Deliverability results: a check of whether a work address accepts mail, so messages are not sent to ones that bounce.
- Correspondence: what you write back to us, plus notes we make about conversations.
- Site visits: no cookies are set here and no analytics run. The company hosting the site keeps ordinary technical logs, browser type and IP address among them, to serve the site and keep it safe. The typeface comes from Google Fonts, and loading it passes your IP address to Google.
Sensitive information is not something we gather: no health details, no government ID numbers, no financial account numbers.
Sources
- What is publicly available, such as company websites, news sites, job boards and professional networking profiles.
- Firms that sell company and business contact data.
- You yourself, when you answer a message, send a contact form or talk with us.
Purposes
- Working out whether what we offer might be relevant for your company.
- Getting in touch with you at work about our services.
- Confirming that a work address is valid ahead of sending.
- Answering you, and discussing or delivering our services if you want that.
- Maintaining the do-not-contact list, which is how stop requests hold.
- Protecting our systems and complying with the law.
We don't track whether our emails are opened.
Sharing
Personal information is never sold or rented by us. It is not passed to other companies for their marketing, and it is not used for targeted advertising. The only recipients are these:
- Providers who work for us, for example hosting and data storage companies, business data providers, email verification services, and email and mailbox providers. They may use the information only to deliver their service to us.
- Authorities and others, where a law requires it, or where it is needed to protect safety, property or rights.
- A successor or buyer, should the business be sold or reorganized. They must go on protecting the information in line with this statement.
Retention
Business contact records stay while they remain useful for contacting businesses. Records that go stale are refreshed or deleted. For clients, records are held as long as the work, and our accounting and legal duties, call for. Entries on the do-not-contact list are kept while we still contact businesses at all, which is what keeps a stop request in force.
Safeguards
Access is restricted to people who need the information, and we apply reasonable organizational and technical safeguards. No system offers absolute security, and we cannot promise it.
Your rights
You may ask us for any of these:
- an account of the information on file about you, and its sources;
- a correction of anything inaccurate;
- deletion of your information, other than your do-not-contact entry, which is what keeps the request honored.
Where you live may matter too. State privacy laws, California's among them, can add rights to know about, correct or delete what we hold, plus a right to opt out of any sale or sharing of it. We neither sell it nor share it in that sense. Exercising any of these rights does not change how we treat you.
Send a request as a reply to one of our emails, through the contact form at vectisworks.com, or by post to the address on this page. To confirm a request is really yours, we may ask which email address we wrote to. Our response comes within the period the law allows. Someone you have authorized to act as your agent may make the request instead.
Under 18
What we offer, and what we send, is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly gather information about anyone younger than 18.
Location
Vectis Works operates from the United States and writes to businesses there. Processing takes place in the United States, as well as wherever our service providers work.

Any change to this statement comes with a new effective date, shown at the top.
